IntroMy Jurney
Intro
My journey in plant biology and biotechnology began with a passion for understanding plant life. After earning an M.Sc. in Biology, I pursued a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas (IBMCP), Universidad Politécnica de València (UPV).
Specializing in molecular and cellular biology, my research focuses on protein interactions, gene expression, and environmental signaling in plants. I employ advanced techniques such as Yeast Two-Hybrid screening, RNAseq, and proteomics to uncover the fundamental processes that govern plant development and resilience.
As a Teaching Assistant at Universidad de Antioquia, I mentor undergraduate and graduate students, fostering a supportive learning environment. Additionally, I develop biotechnological solutions to enhance plant resilience and productivity, using methods like CRISPR/Cas9 for genome editing and creating bio-based strategies for sustainable agriculture.
Collaboration is key to my work, and I have partnered with esteemed colleagues and institutions worldwide on multidisciplinary projects. My commitment to education and innovation drives my ongoing efforts to advance plant science, with a focus on global food security and environmental sustainability.
Join me in this journey of discovery and innovation, where we aim to create a better future for our planet through science and sustainability.
